Mike is an Ace of Clubs because he believes in the power of an aggressive campaign. In 2012, Mike moved into an abandoned law office to set up a field campaign, on the wall remained a sign "we play offense, not defense" - a motto Mike immediately identified with and has incorporated into campaigns across the country. And, at the end of the day, he's more than happy to take a club to his opponent's campaigns.
About
Michael McLaughlin is a nationally-recognized campaigner, who’s helped dozens of campaigns fight against some of the country’s biggest villains over the last 18 years.
He has worked his way up from being a field organizer to having managed four congressional campaigns, including defeating Russia’s favorite congressman in 2018. In 2020, Mike served as National Field Director on Amy Klobuchar’s presidential campaign.
Both from a mail firm and from campaigns, he has produced and directed mail programs for some of the top targeted state legislative races and independent expenditure programs across the country.
Mike never forgets the grounding reason we participate in politics, and who we are fighting for. He invests heavily in every client, always working to craft authentic narrative through lines and pushing for bold ideas to shake up the status quo.
Although a Prince William County, VA native, Mike currently resides in Navy Yard, DC. He is married to Nancy Leeds, herself a well-known political operative. They can often be found at a Nationals game, or traveling the south to find the country’s best barbecue.
